Liz Malmen helped the Indiana Wesleyan women’s soccer program rise to new heights during her time in a Wildcat uniform for the 1998-2001 seasons. She scored 124 career goals, amassed 58 assists, and accumulated 306 points in 83 career matches. Prior to Malmen’s time at Indiana Wesleyan, the program had one MCC championship. The Wildcats won the MCC title all four years with Malmen which was the start of 10 straight championships and 12 in 13 years. She was named NAIA All-American in 2000 and 2001 and is the first female from Indiana Wesleyan to be named NAIA All-American two-times in a team sport. Malmen finished her four-year career as a Wildcat with a 77-19-2 record and a 28-2-0 record in the Mid-Central College Conference.

"Liz is a person of conviction and it was that conviction to grow in Christ that brought her to Indiana Wesleyan. She demonstrated that by being a loving teammate, a fierce competitor, and a woman of integrity both on and off the field. She faced the challenges of being a Christian athlete with a sense of joy and composure that can only be explained by having the peace of Christ." -- Joe Thoma, former Indiana Wesleyan women’s soccer head coach
