Inducted: February 11, 2017
The 2000 women’s cross country team set a standard for Indiana Wesleyan Athletics with a third place finish at the NAIA National Championship. It was the highest finish any Indiana Wesleyan program had attained at the NAIA level and was the first Wildcat team to capture a trophy at an NAIA National Championship. The team also won the MCC league championship which was the third of eight straight titles.
“These ladies worshipped by believing that their running talent was God given, stewarding that talent and then choosing to practice and compete every day with a joyful spirit. From that attitude and commitment they ran the best races of their careers and together as a team, set a new standard of excellence for Indiana Wesleyan University Cross Country.” -- John Foss
