Hall of Honor
The 2013 Women's Basketball team holds an esteemed place in the IWU Athletics Hall of Honor. They orchestrated a season of unparalleled success by securing the program's second NAIA National Championship with a resounding 61-43 victory over #6 Davenport (Mich.) in the championship game. Their 35-3 overall record stands as a testament to their unwavering determination, marking the second-most wins in program history. Throughout their championship campaign, they faced four Top 20 teams and limited all their opponents to just 44.4 points per game en route to glory. The team maintained an elite level of excellence all season, capturing the program's fourth-consecutive Crossroads League regular-season championship. Their dominance was underscored by their seven-week reign atop the national rankings. The team's success was further illuminated with Paige Smith, Claire Ray, and Taylor Goshert earning All-Crossroads League honors, while both Smith and Ray were named NAIA All-Americans.
