Chammika De Silva was a member of the Marion Titans men's tennis program from 1981-1985. De Silva was a four-year member of the Mid-Central College Conference All-Conference squad and All-District teams, posting a career regular-season record of 84-0 and a double record of 74-4. Before coming to the United States in 1978, De Silva was the No. 1 juniors player in the country of Sri Lanka and capped off his junior career being named Indiana Mr. Tennis his senior of high school. De Silva was a four-time NAIA District singles Champion. During his sophomore season, De Silva earned an invite to tryout of the Sri Lanka Davis Cup team, where he represented his country. He was the first player in Marion Titans program history to advance to the NAIA National Tournament in 1981-82, where he would make three more appearances in his career.
