Antonio Murrell served as the men’s basketball point guard from 2006-2009. Murrell tallied 1,950 points in his career, good for fourth all-time in Wildcat basketball history at graduation. His 442 career assists is good for fifth all-time while his 206 career steals lands him sixth all-time. Murrell started 106 of 135 games, shooting 47% from the floor, 41% from deep, and 79% from the free-throw line. Tone was named All-Mid-Central College Conference on three occasions, including First team honors during his junior and senior season. During his junior campaign in 2008, Murrell led the Wildcats to an NCCAA National Championships, a first for the Wildcats since 1995. His heroics that season earned him a spot on the NCCAA All-Region and NCCAA All-Tournament teams while being named an NCCAA First Team All-American and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. Tone capped off his luxurious career leading the Wildcats to an NAIA National Championship Elite Eight while earning NAIA First Team All-American honors, just the third Wildcat in program history to earn All-American status. After four years, Tone averaged 14.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per-game.
