John Bowman claimed five NAIA All-American honors as a member of the track and field program and holds program records in the Discus (58.34-meters) and Hammer Throw (59.61-meters). He earned his first All-American in the 60-Meter Hurdles as a freshman and then transitioned to throws where he earned four more All-American honors in the Discus and Hammer Throw. Bowman won a pair of MCC individual championships at the 2009 outdoor league meet in the Discus and Hammer Throw. He is a 12-time NCCAA All-American and was named the 2009 NCCAA Outdoor National Championship Outstanding Performer and the 2008 NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field Wheeler Award recipient.
