2008 Men's Soccer

The 2008 men’s soccer team tallied a record of 18-8, tying a program record for wins. The Wildcats scored 67 goals with 15 coming as game-winners, a program record that would stand until 2014. IWU would fire off 373 shots in 2008 with 200 of those on goal, both of which are program records. Earning an NAIA ranking of No.18, the Wildcats finished co-MCC Champions. Led by NAIA All-American and MCC Player of the Year Joel Trainer, IWU garnered six MCC All-Conference selections, five NCCAA All-American selections, and 10 MCC Player of the Week awards. The squad capped off the season by winning the National Christian College Association National Championship.
