Hall of Honor
An outstanding tennis player, Julie Willmert (Beekman) left her mark on IWU Tennis. Willmert transferred to Indiana Wesleyan from Ball State University after her freshman season and finished her last three years at No. 1 Singles and No. 1 Doubles for the Wildcats. Willmert never lost a regular season match in singles, with her only losses coming at the ITA and NAIA National tournaments. At NAIA National Tournaments, Willmert finished in 4th and 5th in Singles and 3rd (twice) and 6th in Doubles. Willmert was a two-time NAIA All-American, three-time All Mid-Central conference, and named Mid-Central Player of the Year. Willmert finished her career ranked No. 10 in NAIA singles and No. 7 NAIA doubles. During her three years, she posted a 69-4 record in singles, 75-6 doubles record, and led the team to a 62-4 record through three years.
