ATHLETIC TRAINING
The Indiana Wesleyan University Athletic Training Staff is blessed to have four facilities from which to provide medical services.
The Recreation & Wellness Center Athletic Training Clinic is approximately 2,000 square feet. This facility was new when the RWC was remodeled in 1998-1999. The facility services the following teams: volleyball, men & women's basketball, men & women's cross country, women’s swimming, and cheerleading.
The second Athletic Training Clinic is found in the Sports Pavilion located in the heart of the outdoor athletic complex, near the baseball and softball fields and the track. This facility is approximately 1,000 square feet. The women's soccer team utilizes this facility during the fall season. During the spring season baseball, softball and track athletes are cared for through this facility.
The Troyer Fieldhouse is home to our third Athletic Training Clinic. This 500 square foot facility opened in 2007 when the Troyer Fieldhouse was built on the IWU campus. The clinic services men and women's tennis and men's soccer during the fall season. During the cold winters in Marion, softball, baseball, and indoor track and field athletes are cared for in this facility.
The newest Athletic Training Clinic is located in the Football Stadium. This 1400 square foot clinic opened in the fall of 2017 when football was added to IWU, and services the football team throughout the year. There is also a clinic located by the visitor’s locker room to accommodate our guests during home games.

ATHLETIC TRAINING DEPARTMENT MISSION
The Athletic Training Department is committed to providing high quality comprehensive care for all student-athletes. The athletic trainers strive to serve the whole person through prevention, management, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, while also integrating the importance of the mind, spirit, and faith. With the collaboration of a variety of healthcare providers, including team physicians from Optimum Performance Sports (OPS), the goal is return IWU student-athletes to their sport and to life as soon as medically safe. Â
And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: "It is more blessed to give than to receive"

VISITING TEAM INFORMATION
As the Indiana Wesleyan University Athletic Training Department, we would like to welcome you and your team to the campus. We hope that your visit is safe and injury free. We have four Athletic Training facilities from which to serve you.
Recreation & Wellness Center Athletic Training Clinic
- Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Swimming and Cheerleading
Sports Pavilion Athletic Training Clinic
Located on Wildcat Drive by the Baseball and Softball fields
- Women’s Soccer, Softball, Baseball, and Outdoor Track & Field
Troyer Fieldhouse Athletic Training Clinic
- Men’s Soccer, Tennis, Indoor Track & Field
Football Stadium Athletic Training Clinic
The following items and services will be available during your visit:
- Coolers with water and ice chest with ice bags
- Cups for bench and locker room if needed. Please bring water bottles if possible.
- Taping and treatment tables available in all athletic training facilities
- Therapeutic modalities are available upon request in all athletic training facilities. Modalities available include the following: Heat, Ice, Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation, LASER, and Shortwave Diathermy.
- If an athletic trainer is not traveling with the team, IWU athletics trainers can provide treatments. Specific directions, including parameters for any modalities must be provided in writing from the team’s athletic trainer.
- A Certified Athletic Trainer will be on site for all competitions. A physician is on-site for all football games, and on-call for other sports.
We ask that you supply the following items:
- Your own tape and medical supplies
- Towels for showering
- Water bottles for your teams
