KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Indiana Wesleyan Women's Soccer senior Avery Sluss has been named the PrestoSports NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the NAIA office on Tuesday morning. This marks Sluss's third career NAIA Defensive Player of the Week award and her first of the 2026 campaign.

The senior led the Wildcats to two wins last week by putting in two great performances against No. 20 Science & Arts (Okla.) and Tennessee Southern. In her 180 minutes of work, the goalkeeper did not allow a single goal and reached 200 career saves with a season-high 7 against Tennessee Southern. 

Sluss and the Wildcats will play Rochester Christian next on Wednesday, September 2nd.
