JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan Women's Soccer senior
Avery Sluss was named the Crossroads League Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Sluss has now earned four Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week awards in her career.
The senior led the Wildcats to two wins last week by putting in two great performances against No. 20 Science & Arts (Okla.) and Tennessee Southern. In her 180 minutes of work, the goalkeeper did not allow a single goal and reached 200 career saves with a season-high 7 against Tennessee Southern.
Sluss and the Wildcats will play Rochester Christian next on Wednesday, September 2nd.
