Baseball Lands Six All-League Honors

MARION, Ind. - The Crossroads League announced this year's baseball All-League awards on Wednesday afternoon with Indiana Wesleyan claiming six league honors. The Wildcats finished their regular season and Crossroads League Tournament with a 34-422 overall record and finished fourth in the Crossroads League with an 23-13 league record. The Wildcats were runner-ups in the Crossroads League tournament, posting wins over No. 1 Taylor, No. 22 Huntington, and No. 23 Marian before falling to Taylor in the finale.

GREG VINEYARD

FIRST TEAM | OF

Vineyard wrapped up his Wildcat career with his first appearance on the All-League team. He grabbed a spot on the first team with 67 hits, 58 runs, 52 RBI, and 9 home runs. he also ranked tied for second in the Crossroads League with 30 stolen bases.

 

 

 

TREVOR VOJTKOFSKY

FIRST TEAM | C

Vojtkofsky is making his first appearance on the All-League First Team after being named to the Second Team last season. He posted 58 hits, 45 RBI, 29 runs, and 13 homers. Behind the plate he recorded a .970 fielding percentage and 294 put outs.

NICK WILEY

SECOND TEAM | 1B

In his senior season, Wiley earned All-League Second Team honors for the second time. The first time came during his freshman campaign in 2023 as a DH. He posted a league high 19 home runs, while hitting a career high .330. He tied for a team high 52 RBI and posted 58 hits and 50 runs. He became the program record holder for career home runs and RBi this season.

BEN SEITZINGER

SECOND TEAM | 3B

In his first season with the Wildcats Seitzinger led the team with a .401 batting average which ranked third in the Crossroads League. The sophomore third baseman also tallied 71 hits, 50 runs, and 36 RBI on his way to claiming a spot on the All-League Second Team.

MATTHEW DROZLEK

SECOND TEAM | DH

Drozlek made an instant impact as a freshman for the Wildcats, ranking second on the team with a .365 batting average. He totaled 62 hits, 38 RBI, 36 runs, and 3 homers.

 

 

BRAXTON BROSMER

GOLD GLOVE | 2B

Brosmer locked down the middle infield for the Wildcats this season, recording a .979 fielding percentage with just 5 errors as a freshman. He tallied 103 putouts and 126 assists. At the plate he recorded 62 hits, 50 RBI, 40 runs, and 13 home runs with a .302 average.
