KINGSPORT, TN. – Indiana Wesleyan Baseball secured a decisive 5-0 victory over William Woods (Mo.) and followed it up with a 10-6 win against Webber International (Fl.) on Monday at Hunter Wright Stadium. In the first game,
Kevin Corcoran delivered a complete game shutout, allowing only five hits while striking out nine. The second game featured a pivotal five-run rally in the fourth inning as the Wildcats collected 17 hits, including six doubles and a home run, while holding Webber International to seven hits.

GAME ONE RECAP
- In the first game, Indiana Wesleyan secured a decisive 5-0 victory over William Woods with a strong performance in the later innings.
- The Wildcats broke the scoreless tie in the sixth inning when Greg Vineyard doubled to left center and later scored on a wild pitch, giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
- The eighth inning saw the Wildcats extend their lead significantly. Carson Bush led off with a single and scored on Jay Tomes' double down the left field line. Braxton Brosmer followed with an RBI single, bringing Tomes home. Matthew Drozlek added another run with an RBI single, scoring Brosmer. Andrew Sinish, who pinch ran for Drozlek, stole third and later scored on Trevor Vojtkofsky's RBI single, completing a four-run inning.
- Pitcher Kevin Corcoran delivered a complete game, allowing five hits and striking out nine, securing the shutout victory for Indiana Wesleyan. Corcoran's performance extended his streak to 14.2 straight shutout innings in the NAIA Opening Round dating back to last year. Corcoran racked up 9 strikouts while allowing just 5 hits and 0 walks in the shutout.

GAME TWO RECAP
- In the second game, Indiana Wesleyan secured a 10-6 victory over Webber International (Fl). The second inning saw the Wildcats take the lead as Matthew Drozlek scored on a wild pitch after reaching base on a walk. The inning ended with a 1-0 lead for the red and grey.
- In the third, the Warriors tied the game at 1-1 when Keegan Martin scored on a throwing error by the pitcher.
- The fourth inning was pivotal for IWU, scoring five runs. Matthew Drozlek, Ben Seitzinger, and Nick Wiley each reached base, and Trevor Vojtkofsky's fielder's choice resulted in a run due to an error. Mark Snowden then drove in two more with a double, and Carson Bush followed with an RBI single. Indiana Wesleyan led 6-1 after four innings.
- The sixth inning added to the Indiana Wesleyan advantage with Carson Bush driving in Jackson Mott, who had pinch-run for Trevor Vojtkofsky and stolen third. The score stood at 7-1.
- In the seventh, WIU narrowed the gap slightly with a run, resulting in a 7-2 score. Nick Wiley extended the Wildcats' lead in the eighth inning with a solo home run, moving him into second place all-time for home runs in a season with 20, surpassing Lucas Goodin's 19 in 2023.
- Webber International responded with a run in their half, leaving the score at 8-3.
- In the ninth inning, Ben Seitzinger and Nick Wiley each hit RBI doubles, contributing to two more runs for Indiana Wesleyan. Despite WIU scoring three runs in the bottom of the ninth, the red and grey held on for a 10-6 win.
- Noah Wathen delivered a strong performance on the mound for Indiana Wesleyan in the second game, pitching 8 innings with 8 strikeouts and allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits. He moved into second place all-time for strikeouts in a season with 106, surpassing Brock Buckley's 104 last season. Wathen threw 120 pitches, 71 of which were strikes.
- Tarick McGlothin finished the game, pitching 1 inning with 1 strikeout, giving up 1 hit and 1 earned run, while throwing 31 pitches.
