MARION, Ind. —
No. 20 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Tennis fell in a NAIA top 25 matchup with the No. 12 ranked Marian University Knights on Saturday morning. Marian won the doubles point with two wins at no. 2 and no. 3 before no. 1 doubles could finish.
Now down 1-0, IWU fought to stay in the match.
Sofia Munoz took down the no. 14th ITA ranked women singles player at the no. 1 spot in a 3 set thriller, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4. The Wildcats picked up another point at no. 4 singles when
Nicole Puga won 6-1, 6-0. But the Knights were able to take the rest of the singles matches and won 5-2.
