JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan Softball sophomore
Whitney Waddell was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. IWU Softball sweeps the weekly awards this time around as Waddell's teammate Beidelschies earned Pitcher of the Week. This is Waddell's first career Player of the Week honors.
Waddell helped RV Indiana Wesleyan to a 6-2 week in Arizona by scoring 13 runs and knocking in 12 RBIs, including a career-high 7 against Park-Gilbert. In addition, Waddell hit .607 with one double, one triple, one grand slam and five multi-hit games. The outfielder also stole 8 bases across the 8 games.
The Wildcats will travel to Grace College tomorrow, March 10th for a 3:00 PM doubleheader.
