Women's Basketball Takes Home Five All-League Awards

JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball earned five Crossroads League awards Wednesday. Ayla Krygier led the way with a spot on the All-Crossroads League First Team. Addi Hovey was named to the second team and Emily Mattingly claimed a spot on the Honorable Mention Team. Krygier and Hovey were both named to the All-Freshman team.

AYLA KRYGIER

FIRST TEAM | FRESHMAN TEAM

Krygier played in 30 games for the Wildcats, starting 29. She led the team and ranked 6th in points per game, averaging 14. She added 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists per game while knocking down over 44% of her shots.

 

 

 

ADDI HOVEY

SECOND TEAM | FRESHMAN TEAM

Hovey played in 28 games and started 18 in her freshman campaign. She made in an impact in many ways for the Wildcats, averaging double-digit points (11) and grabbed a tam high 7.2 rebounds per game. She was also a force defensively, totaling 34 steals and 17 blocks.

EMILY MATTINGLY

HONORABLE MENTION

Mattingly put together a third campaign for the WIldcats, starting in 17 of the 21 games she played in. She averaged 9.9 points per game, grabbed a total of 88 rebounds, dished out 35 assists, and recorded 37 steals.
