WINONA LAKE, Ind —
No. 21 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Tennis took down RV Grace College with a decisive 5-2 result on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats started with a 2-1 split of the doubles matches to take the first point of the match. In the singles matchups, the Wildcats were able to win four points and came away with the victory.
Maria Oliveira and
Paige Riegsecker won the first match of the afternoon 6-3 at no. 3 doubles. Grace was able to win no. 1 doubles, but
Lauren Dick and
Meribel Jarna secured the doubles point by winning 7-5. The Lancer tied it with a no. 1 singles win but
Nicole Puga retook the lead by way of a 6-1, 6-0 win at no. 3 singles. Jarna won her second match of the day, 6-4, 6-0, to extend the advantage to 3-1.Oliveira and Dick followed suit with wins in their singles matches and IWU captured the match win.
