No. 21 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Tennis traveled to Spring Arbor University for an afternoon match with the Cougars on Monday. The Wildcats won the battle of the big cats, 5-2. In the doubles arena,
Maria Oliveira and
Paige Riegsecker collected the first win of the day for IWU at no. 3 doubles. SAU answered with a win at the no. 2 doubles position, but
Sofia Munoz and
Nicole Puga captured the point with a 6-4 win at no. 1 doubles.
With the first point out of the way, the two teams traded singles matches at no. 2 and 3 with
Nicole Puga winning 6-4, 6-4 in the 3rd spot for IWU.
Sofia Munoz also gained a point for the Wildcats with a 2 set win in her singles match.
Maria Oliveira clinched the match with the 4th point for Indiana Wesleyan with her win at no. 4 singles, 6-2, 7-6. The rest of the matches played out as Spring Arbor captured a point at the no. 6 spot and
Lauren Dick finished the day with another win for IWU.
