MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Indiana Wesleyan Men's Tennis picked up their first Crossroads League win of the season with a decisive 7-0 victory at Mount Vernon Nazarene.
Carter Poquette and
Isaiah Hostetler picked up the first win of the day at no. 3 doubles, 6-1.
Valentino Trento and
Timo Fischer secured the doubles point with a 6-0 win at no. 2 doubles. IWU swept the doubles after
Matheus Lima and
Michail Klinkov won 6-4 at no. 1 doubles.
The Wildcats kept up the momentum during the singles matches with no 1-4 singles all winning without giving up a point.
Michail Klinkov started off singles with the second point of the day for IWU, winning at no. 2 singles.
Matheus Lima and
Timo Fischer followed suit at the no. 1 and 4 spots respectively. At no. 3 singles,
Valentino Trento turned in an impressive performance as well, keeping up the trend of not allowing the Cougars to win a point.
Carter Poquette and
Isaiah Hostetler put the finishing touches on the match winnig no. 5 and 6 singles to give IWU the 7-0 win.
