GREENTOWN, Ind. —
No. 19 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Tennis hosted Olivet Nazarene and D-2 Ashland at Howard County Tennis Center in Greentown on Saturday. The Wildcats would sweep both teams, ONU in the morning, 7-0, and AU in the evening, 4-0.
IWU took the doubles point against Olivet Nazarene by sweeping the doubles matches started off by
Lauren Dick and
Katie Parr, followed by
Sofia Munoz and
Meribel Jarna, and finished by
Nicole Puga and
Paige Riegsecker. The dominance continued for the Wildcats as they won all singles matches. Puga and
Maria Oliveira showed out, winning 6-0, 6-0 in both no. 3 and 4 singles respectively.
Later in the day, the Wildcats would face off against D-2 Ashland.
Lauren Dick and
Nicole Puga won the first doubles match at no. 3, 6-2, and Parr and Oliveira would secure the doubles point with a win at no. 2. Munoz and Puga got the win at no. 1 and no. 4 singles while
Meribel Jarna would play an incredibly close match, winning 7-6, 7-6 at no. 2 singles to give IWU the 4-0 win.
