KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the seeding and opponents on Wednesday afternoon for the 2025 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round. The Wildcats are making their fifth-tournament appearance, and they will travel to the campus of the Concordia University (Nebraska) in Lincoln, Neb.
Webber International (Fla.) is the 1-seed in the five team bracket, earning an automatic bid as the Sun Conference tournament champions. They are making their sith appearance in the tournament and boast a 41-13 record. The squads matched up in the 2023 Kingsport Opening Round where the Wildcats won 9-4 and eventually advanced to the NAIA World Series as the 4-seed in the Kingsport bracket.
Concordia (Neb.) is hosting as the 2-seed, claiming an automatic bid as the GPAC regular season champion. They come in to the opening round with a 40-11 record and are making their seventh tournament appearance.
USAO (Neb.) comes to Lincoln as the 3-seed and earned their bid as the SAC tournament champion. They make their tenth appearance in the tournament, boasting a 34-18 record.
The Wildcats earned a 4-seed in the Lincoln bracket and earned an automatic bid as the Crossroads League tournament runner-ups. They head into the Opening Round with a 29-20 record, making their 5th appearance in the tournament
The 5-seed in the Lincoln Bracket is Mount Mercy (Iowa), they earned their bid as HAAC tournament runner-ups. They are making their second tournament appearance with their last appearance coming last season and boast a record of 33-21.
Ten sites and 46 teams have been announced as the 2025 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round gets underway May 12, ending May 15, with trips to the Avista-NAIA World Series on the line. Six brackets with five teams and four more with four make up the 68th edition of the championship, which culminates in Lewiston, Idaho, for the 33rd time overall, May 23-31.
