JACKSON, Mich. - The Indiana Wesleyan baseball team has been voted No. 3 in the Crossroads League Preseason Poll, released by the league office on Wednesday. IWU finished third in the Crossroads League last season with a record of 31-23 and a conference record of 23-13.
The team returns four 2022 First-Team All Crossroads League players in
Bryce Ginder,
Lucas Goodin,
Evan Salmon, and
Hunter Hoffman.
Evan Salmon was also named a 2023 NAIA Preseason All-American. Salmon finished the 2022 season tied for 5th in the NAIA with 24 home runs, highlighted by a spectacular 3-home run game against Thomas More on March 30th. He ranked 14th in the nation with a slugging percentage of .812, and his 71 RBI's were tied for 15th nationally.
