Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WINONA LAKE, Ind. - IWU baseball split a doubleheader with the Lancers of Grace College on Monday. The Wildcats collected 18 hits in game one, which led to an 11-4 victory. The Wildcats couldn't convert baserunners into runs in game two stranding seven and falling 4-2.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Zach Rabe led the way offensively with five hits in the game he is only the second Wildcat with five hits in a game this season. 
• The reigning Crossroads player of the week Evan Salmon added another home run. This puts his total at 17 on the season, good for fourth-best in the NAIA. 
• Jeff Morton contributed three hits including a double and a home run. He has three homers on the season all coming in the past week.
• Denver Blinn and MJ Stavola both added two hits, Blinn also had a triple while Stavola had two RBIs.
• Jake Engelkes went eight innings giving up just four runs and striking out six.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

 

• The Wildcats were only out-hit by one, nine for Grace, and Eight for IWU, but struck out 10 times to Grace's four. 
• Lucas Goodin reached base all four times adding two hits and drawing two walks. 
• Denver Blinn and Zach Rabe both had doubles in the game. Blinn was the lone Wildcat with an RBI in the game. 

  

CONTINUING THE SERIES

 

• The Wildcats head to Huntington University this weekend for a four-game series with the Foresters. Game one begins Friday at 3:00 p.m.
