WESTFIELD, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University baseball collected two wins on Thursday over Midway (Ky.) at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Caleb Eder had a huge day for the Wildcats with a three hit performance in the opening game and a brilliant effort on the mound in game two.
PLATE AND MOUND PRESENCE
Caleb Eder did it all on Thursday in helping Indiana Wesleyan to a pair of victories. In the opener, Eder went 3-for-5 with a home run and two doubles. He scored two runs and drove in two more. Eder was the starting pitcher in game two and did not allow a run in 7.0 innings of work. He scattered five hits and one walk and struck out nine for the victory.
POWER PLAY
Caleb Eder and Brady West put on quite a show in the 8-3 win. Both players hit home runs and Eder hit two doubles while West added one as well. The pair combined to go 6-of-9 at the dish with six RBI. West added a two hit, two runs effort in game two to end the day with five hits.
TOSSING ZEROES
Indiana Wesleyan pitching allowed just three runs in 18 innings vs. Midway. The Eagles managed just nine hits and struck out 18 times.
