Box Score MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s basketball won their fifth straight win Saturday, downing Lincoln College 83-74. Wildcat duo Kyle Mangas and freshman Noah Smith carried the Wildcats, both scoring at least 20 points while dishing a combined eight assists.
The freshman finished the contest, 10-of-16 from the field, finishing with a new career-high of 20 points. Smith added four rebounds and assists to his stat line while collecting two steals.
The Wildcats led by as much as 15 points in the contest, while shooting 59% from the field.
DIMMICH STATS
- Kyle Mangas dropped 48 points over the weekend while shooting 56% from the field. Mangas missed just one free throw on seven attempts. He made all five of his attempts Saturday against Lincoln. Mangas also added 15 rebounds and nine assists.
- Seth Maxwell was second on the team in scoring collecting 36 points, while grabbing a team-high 21 rebounds. Against Lincoln, Maxwell collected four blocks in the contest for the third time this season.
- Noah Smith had a breakout weekend for the Wildcats, averaging 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Smith’s 20-point performance against Lincoln set a new career-high for the freshman.
- As a team, IWU shot 54% from the field on 73-of-133 shooting. The Wildcats outscored their opponents by an average 16 points-per-game.
- Indiana Wesleyan cleaned up on the board grabbing 80 total rebounds, 23 coming as offensive.
