Men's Basketball Announces 2026 Recruiting Class

MARION, Ind. - Head Coach Greg Tonagel and the Indiana Wesleyan University men's basketball program are excited to announce their 2026 recruiting class. The class includes Brady Scholl (Northridge H.S.), Chief Cameron (St. Xavier H.S.), Julian Vogt (Carmel H.S.), Brant Garber (Fairfield H.S.), and Parker Hovey (Hope College).

This class reflects exactly who we want to be as a program. We intentionally recruited young men who know how to win and who elevate the people around them. They bring a competitive edge, but just as important, they bring a genuine commitment to being great teammates every single day. This group embraces our I AM THIRD culture, and we’re excited about the foundation they will help us continue to build.

Brady Scholl

Northridge High School

Brady Scholl is a 6’7 forward from Northridge High School who finished 3rd in Indiana’s Mr. Basketball voting after averaging 24.6 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots. He led the Raiders to a 26-2 record and a Regional Championship.

“Brady impacts the game at both ends of the floor,” says Northridge Head Coach Scott Radekar. “More importantly he impacts his team through humility, servant leadership, coachability, and work ethic.”

Scholl finished his career with 1506 career points, 777 career rebounds, 222 career assists, and 222 career blocks. He was named an Indiana All-Star, First Team Academic All-State, IBCA Supreme 15 All-State as a Junior and Senior, and All NLC in each of the past three seasons.

Chief Cameron

St. Xavier High School

Chief Cameron is a 6’0 point guard from St. Xavier High School who helped lead his team to the KHSAA State Championship game, where they narrowly lost in overtime. Competing against one of the toughest schedules in the nation, his team finished 17-7, with Cameron playing a central role in their success.

“Chief has left his mark as one of the most accomplished players in program history,” says Head Coach Kevin Klein. “He will be remembered for much more than his on-court play. He is a phenomenal person and an amazing teammate who has positively impacted coaches, teammates, and countless young kids who aspire to be like him.”

A four-year varsity letterman, Cameron was the 3rd winningest player in program history, including contributing to 90 wins over his final three seasons. He led his team in deflections and steals for three consecutive years, dished out 160 assists as a senior, and shot an efficient 51% from the field while averaging 10.2 points per game. His honors include All-District, First Team All-Region, Third Team All-State, and multiple all-tournament team selections, finishing his career with 1,061 points.

Julian Vogt

Carmel High School

Julian Vogt is a 6’5 shooting guard from Carmel High School who played a key role in leading his team to an 18-6 record and a Sectional Championship. Known for his elite shooting ability, Vogt knocked down 48 three-pointers while shooting an impressive 50% from beyond the arc.

“Julian Vogt battled, improved and delivered in big moments all season,” says Carmel Head Coach Ryan Osborn. “Indiana Wesleyan is getting an incredible talent who’s just scratching the surface of his best basketball. He’ll add tremendous value on the court and in the locker room.”

Vogt’s efficiency and ability to perform in critical moments made him a major contributor to Carmel’s success, and his combination of size and shooting projects well to the next level.

Brant Garber

Fairfield High School

Brant Garber is a 6’2 shooting guard from Fairfield High School who helped lead his team to a 16-6 record while contributing across the board. He averaged 7.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, while shooting 54% from two, 41% from three, and 80% from the free throw line.

“Brant has been a tremendous leader for us and made a lasting impact that goes far beyond any statistics,” says Fairfield Head Coach Brodie Garber. “His outside shooting was a huge asset, and during his four-year career the team won 56 games and reached a semi-state.”

A four-year varsity letterman, Garber finished his career with 119 made three-pointers and earned All-Conference honors twice. He was also a two-time Mental Attitude Award winner.

During his junior season, he averaged 16.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game while earning All-MIAA First Team honors and multiple conference Player of the Week awards. He helped lead Hope to a MIAA Conference Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

“Parker was instrumental in us winning two MIAA conference tournaments during his three years,” says Hope Head Coach Greg Mitchell. “His work ethic, toughness and love for the game is as good as any player I’ve coached. While we hate to see him leave, I’m confident he’s found a great fit at IWU and will add to both the culture and competitive level of the program.”

Hovey was also named All-MIAA Second Team as a sophomore and was a Men’s Athlete of the Year nominee during his junior campaign.
