Baseball Begins Spring Break Trip in Tennessee

LEBANON, Tenn. – Indiana Wesleyan University baseball had their five-game win streak snapped on Friday with a 5-3 loss at Cumberland (Tenn.). Brady West and Parker Johnson each had two hits while Eric Wentz drove in a pair for the Wildcats.

  • Andrew Breytenbach put Indiana Wesleyan ahead with a 1-0 lead in the 4th inning on an RBI fielder’s choice. Cumberland responded with a pair of runs in the home half of the 4th for a 2-1 lead.
  • IWU recaptured the lead in the 6th on an Eric Wentz two run single for a 3-2 lead. Again, CU answered in the home half of the inning with three runs for the 5-3 advantage. The big hit for CU was a 3-run home run by Nick Mira.
     

NEXT TIME OUT

  • Indiana Wesleyan and Cumberland close out a three game series on Saturday with a doubleheader in Lebanon, Tennessee.
