Baseball Season Comes to a Close with Crossroads League Tournament Loss

UPLAND, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan baseball team lost 10-4 to the Crossroads League Tournament’s No. 2-seed Taylor (Ind.) on Monday in Upland. The loss is the second for the Wildcats in the league tournament so their season has ended with a 27-30 record.

  • Taylor quickly built a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. TU scored three times on four hits in the frame which included a pair of extra base hits.
  • The Trojans added four more runs in the 3rd inning to lead 7-0.
  • The Taylor lead grew to 10-0 in the 4th inning. TU scored all three runs in the inning on two home runs.
  • Indiana Wesleyan got on the board in the 6th inning on a 2-run home run off the bat of Brady West.
  • Brady West crushed a second 2-run home run in the 8th inning for a 10-4 score.
