McKENZIE, TENN. -- Andrew Breytenbach homered in both games but it was not enough as Indiana Wesleyan University baseball lost 8-6 and 8-5 to Bethel (Tenn.) in McKenzie, Tennessee. IWU tries to even the series on Saturday with another afternoon doubleheader vs. Bethel.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• Indiana Wesleyan built an early 3-0 lead with single runs in each of the first three innings.
• Bethel scored four times in the bottom of the 3rd and added on with one run in the 4th and two in the 5th for a 7-3 lead.
• IWU trailed 8-4 at the beginning of the 7th inning and their rally fell just short. Indiana Wesleyan scored twice but left the game-tying run stranded on first base.
• Only four of the eight Bethel runs were earned.
