Mahurin Leads Men's Basketball to Win over Taylor in Top-15 Showdown

MARION, Ind. -- Lane Mahurin had a career night 37 points to lead No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan University men’s basketball to a 91-79 victory over No. 15 Taylor (Ind.) in the IWU-Taylor Rivalry Game sponsored by Marion General Hospital. The victory ends a three game losing streak for Indiana Wesleyan which was the longest for the team in five years.

He is one of the most talented players we’ve ever had at Indiana Wesleyan and when he plays like that he can carry an entire team. That is what he did tonight for us. When Lane plays like that he is a high major player. He is that good and that talented and he raises the level of our entire team.”

  • Indiana Wesleyan travels to Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday for a top-10 showdown vs. No. 3 Saint Francis. The game is the second half of a doubleheader and is scheduled to begin at approximately 3 p.m.
