ADRIAN, Mich. -- Indiana Wesleyan University baseball suffered back-to-back losses for the first time in 2016 as they were swept in a doubleheader at Siena Heights (Mich.). After dropping the opener 4-1, the Saints pulled out a 3-2 win in 11 innings as the Wildcats fall to 13-6 on the season.

- Siena Heights scored all four of their runs in the third inning to chase IWU starting pitcher Caleb Eder (FR/North Vernon, Ind.).
- Caleb Eder finished with four earned runs on five hits 2.2 innings. He walked six and struck out four Saints.
- Indiana Wesleyan gained their only run of the game in the fourth inning on a SHU error.
- Siena Heights outhit Indiana Wesleyan 8-3.
What Went Down (Game 2)
- The Saints struck first with a pair of runs in the fourth inning on back-to-back hits.
- Indiana Wesleyan tied the score 2-2 in the sixth inning on RBI by Craig Nesselhuf (SR/Littleton, Colo.) and Derek Shomon (SR/Glenview, Ill.).
- The Saints nearly won the game in the 10th inning with the bases loaded and nobody out. But Kyle Hall (FR/Chatham, Ill.) got out of the jam with a fielder’s choice to get the lead runner at home and then two strikeouts to send the game to the 11th inning.
- Freddy Jehle reached first on an error in the SHU 11th inning. He advanced to second on a wild pitch and then scored on a two-out single to win the 3-2 game for the Saints.
- Bryan Beachy (SR/Kokomo, Ind.) started for the Wildcats and surrendered two runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out six.
- Kyle Hall was magnificent in relief of Beachy. He gave up one unearned run on six hits in 5.0 innings.
- Siena Height outhit Indiana Wesleyan 15-6. Andrew Breytenbach (FR/Palatine, Ill.) was the lone Wildcat with two hits in the game.
