Goshen played its best ball of the night in the first 10 minutes as they built their biggest lead of the day at 23-17. But Indiana Wesleyan scored the next 14 points in just three and a half minutes to claim a 31-23 lead. Indiana Wesleyan was able to build on that momentum and take a 12 point lead into halftime. Bettinger hit his third 3-pointer of the half with seven seconds left to give IWU a 43-31 lead at halftime. Bettinger scored 14 in the victory.
The Wildcats held a double digit lead for the first seven and a half minutes of the second period. The Maple Leafs would cut the deficit to nine points on two straight possessions but the Wildcats quickly answered with baskets each time by senior forward Taylor Schoen. He ended the night with nine points.
