PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The three game win streak for the Indiana Wesleyan University baseball team came to a close Wednesday afternoon.
Indiana Wesleyan lost 9-1 to NCAA Division II Bemidji State (Minn.) University during the spring break trip in Phoenix, Arizona. Indiana Wesleyan had previously won their last three games this week and are now 3-3 on the western trip.
Bemidji State took control of the game in the first inning with a six spot. IWU never recovered.
Senior Kyle Beachy hit an RBI single in the second inning to account for the lone Wildcat run on Wednesday. Senior Jonathan Bastian was the losing pitcher.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to action Friday morning with a game versus Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University as the Wildcats continue to play in Phoenix.
