MASON, Ohio -- The Indiana Wesleyan University baseball season has come to a close on Thursday afternoon at the NCCAA World Series in Mason, Ohio.
No. 9-seed Indiana Wesleyan lost their second game in the double elimination tournament 6-2 to No. 7-seed Southern (Fla.) College. IWU had lost the previous night to defending national champion Bluefield (Va.) College by an 8-2 margin.
The loss brings a close to a fine season for the young Wildcats. IWU ends the season with a 28-39 record as the team went 14-8 since April 24. The Wildcats advanced to the program's first ever Mid-Central College Conference Tournament championship which resulted in a 3-2 defeat to Huntington (Ind.) University.
