MARION, Ind. -- Huntington (Ind.) University clubbed a three run double with two outs in the eighth inning to take a 10-8 lead and the eventual victory over Indiana Wesleyan University in the Mid-Central College Conference Baseball Tournament being hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.
Indiana Wesleyan threatened in the ninth but left the tying run in scoring position at second base as Huntington earned the 10-9 victory to advance to the MCC Tournament championship.
Second baseman Brice Davis continues to rake for the Wildcats as he was 4-for-4 at the plate with a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Shortstop Ben Zachary finished 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored.
Indiana Wesleyan trailed 5-1 after four innings but took the lead with three runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth for the 8-5 advantage.
The Wildcats will next play at approximately 9 p.m. tonight against the winner of Bethel (Ind.) College and Taylor (Ind.) University. The winner of that game will advance to the MCC Tournament championship against Huntington on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
