FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University baseball lost a doubleheader Tuesday night at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana in non-conference action.
Indiana Tech won the first game by an 11-1 score in five inning and captured game two by an 11-9 margin.
Wildcat catcher Alex Ridlen finished the game 1-for-2 with a walk and centerfielder Quinn Nofziger was 1-for-3 with a stolen base.
Starting pitcher Michael Caley was the losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs - six earned - on eight hits in 2-1/3 innings pitched.
Nofziger, first baseman Kyle Beachy and designated hitter Jordan Baker led the Indiana Wesleyan attack in game two. All three hitters finished the game 3-for-4 at the plate.
Nofziger had a pair of doubles, three RBI and two runs scored while Beachy had three doubles, two runs and one RBI. Baker added two RBI and a run scored as IWU outhit Indiana Tech 13-10 in the game.
Starting pitcher Jeremy Worrell finished with seven runs on eight hits in 3-1/3 innings of work.
Indiana Wesleyan is now 14-29 this season while Indiana Tech improves to 22-21.
The Wildcats will next play at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at Huntington (Ind.) University.
