CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Indiana Wesleyan baseball finished the day with a split at the Bryan College Tournament in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The Wildcats lost the opening game today 5-4 to pool site host Tennessee Temple (Tenn.) University but finished the afternoon with an 8-3 win over Asbury (Ky.) College.
Indiana Wesleyan tied Tennessee Temple with a run in the top of the seventh for a 4-4 game. But Tennessee Temple won with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the inning for the 5-4 win.
Freshman pitcher Michael Caley took the loss.
Indiana Wesleyan finished the Tennessee trip on a high note courtesy of the 8-3 win over Asbury.
Sophomore Tim Ziegler was strong on the mound and picked up the win while Caley was credited with the save.
Freshman Quinn Nofziger had a huge game for the Wildcats with a 4-for-4 game at the plate with two runs and a pair of RBIs. IWU stole six bases in the winning effort.
Indiana Wesleyan is now 2-2 on the season and will next play in Florida in the annual Spring Break Trip.
