CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Indiana Wesleyan University baseball continued their Spring Break trip on Wednesday with a doubleheader against Concordia (Mich.) University.
Concordia won 4-1 in the first game while Indiana Wesleyan captured the second game 7-3.
Concordia scored four runs in the final two innings to beat Indiana Wesleyan 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Clearwater, Florida.
Jake Scholfield took a shutout into the sixth inning before Concordia was finally able to plate some runs for the eventual victory.
Indiana Wesleyan won game two 7-3 behind a strong pitching performance by freshman CJ Sandmann. He went 6-1/3 innings and allowed three runs for his first collegiate victory.
The Wildcats are now 3-11 on the season and will play Morningside (Iowa) College in a doubleheader on Thursday with the first game beginning at 8:30 a.m.
