ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Indiana Wesleyan University went extra innings to defeat Concordia (Mich.) University in the first game of a doubleheader in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The 4-3 victory took 10 innings after sophomore Jonathan Bastian threw nine solid innings for the Wildcats.
Bastian collects the win on the mound as he limited Concordia to three runs. Freshman Dan Bruckner earned the save with a scoreless 10th inning of work.
The second game of the doubleheader also went extra innings. This time, Concordia came out on top 6-5 in nine innings.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 8-14 on the season.
