Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University men's basketball team rebounded after their first loss of the season with a convincing 82-57 win over host Trinity International (Ill.) University on Friday night at the TIU Classic in Deerfield, Illinois.
The Wildcats led 30-11 after 11 minutes of action and coasted the rest of the way as 11 different Wildcats found their way into the scoring column.
Senior guard Jon Moon led Indiana Wesleyan (7-1) with 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting and 3-of-4 from deep. He dished out five assists while not committing a turnover. Senior forward Landon Adler and junior forward Zach Coverstone also tallied 13 points for IWU while Adler added a team-high seven rebounds.
Sophomore forward Will Hubertz was the fourth Wildcat in double digit scoring as he chipped in with 10. Indiana Wesleyan shot 51-percent as a team and hit 7-of-14 from beyond the arc.
Trinity International (0-7) shot 38-percent from the floor while Indiana Wesleyan gained the advantage in rebounding at a clip of 39-28.
Indiana Wesleyan will face stiff competition in the finale of the TIU Classic at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 22. The NAIA DII No. 14-ranked Wildcats battle NAIA DI No. 2-ranked Robert Morris (Ill.) College, who earlier this season defeated Big-10 member Northwestern (Ill.) University in an exhibition contest.
