Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Indiana Wesleyan University men?s basketball team lost 72-69 to Ohio Dominican University on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio.
The Wildcats lost despite leading by 16 points with 13 minutes left in the contest.
Indiana Wesleyan led 38-23 at halftime, but Ohio Dominican outscored the Wildcats 49-31 in the second half to steal the victory. The Wildcats held a 16 points lead with 13 minutes remaining in the contest before the Panthers stormed back to tied the at 54-54 just seven minutes later.
It was the second meeting between the two schools this season, as Indiana Wesleyan earned an 80-73 victory on November 13 in Luckey Arena.
Junior Antonio Murrell led the Wildcats with 21 points. Murrell also contributed seven rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Zach Coverstone scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting while sophomore Spencer Harris chipped in with 15 points and five assists.
Indiana Wesleyan falls to 8-4 this season and have lost three straight games. Ohio Dominican improves to 6-3.
The Wildcats return to action 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, as Indiana Wesleyan travels to play Indiana University - South Bend.
