FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan baseball faced a tough road test on Tuesday evening, falling to Indiana Tech 13-11 in a high-scoring non-conference battle. Despite a powerful offensive showing that included three home runs, the Wildcats were unable to overcome a late-inning surge by the Warriors.

GAME RECAP
- After a scoreless first inning, the Wildcats got on the board in the second with a Nick Wiley grand slam. After Indiana Tech got a run back bottom of the innings, IWU added another in the third inning with Jay Tomes scoring on a failed pickoff.
- The Warriors crossed a pair of runs across the plate in the half of the third before Indiana Wesleyan exploded to push their lead to 7. Greg VIneyard drove Carson Bush and WIley across with a home run, Tomes came across on a wild pitch, and Braxton Brosmer scored on a single by Ben Seitzinger pushing the lead to 10-3.
- IT answered in the bottom half, scoring six of their own to pull back within 1. The Warriors would go on to take the lead in the the 5th with a pair of runs. They would add another pair of runs in the 6th to go up 13-10.
- Carson Bush tried to jump start a late rally for the Wildcats with a solo homer in the 8th but Indiana Tech held firm the rest of the way to a 13-11 victory
