MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Valorant team cruised to a 2-0 victory against #7 seed Doane University on Monday evening.

The #2 seeded Wildcats were the heavy favorite and showed it on Map 1 Corrode, going 8-0 to start the map. However, Doane bounced back quickly, getting 3 rounds late and making the score 9-3 at half. IWU quickly took the momentum back though, winning the map 13-7. This is the first match that the Wildcats have played Corrode. Since Corrode is leaving the NECC map pool after next week, the Wildcats may finish the season undefeated on Corrode!

Between maps, the Wildcats celebrated Seniors En "DIce" Milbourn and Evan "PokevanXD" Stoller. The senior duo have competed with the Wildcats for 3 and 2 years respectively and have contributed a ton to the foundation of IWU Esports.

Map #2 was Pearl, a map the Wildcats have seen success on throughout the season. And Monday night was no different, with the Wildcats cruising to a 13-4 win. The 2-0 victory is the Wildcats' 16th win this school year and cements their position in the West-Central Semifinals. Their opponent, however, is not cemented, as #6 Wright State and #3 St. Mary's will play at 7pm Friday night. IWU will play the winner of that, though the date for the Semifinal game is not yet set.

Stoller and Milbourn both had incredible senior nights. Stoller had the highest combat score on both maps, but Milbourn was only 15 behind him on both maps as well. The duo went a combined 82-40-24 to make an already incredible night even more special.
