MARION, IND. - Indiana Wesleyan baseball had a stellar day against Goshen, winning the first game decisively 14–4 and then securing a narrow 1–0 victory in the second game of the doubleheader on Friday at Crandall Field. It was a historic day for the Wildcats with
Greg Vineyard hitting for the cycle in game one and
Noah Wathen fanning 16 on his way to a complete game shutout in game two.

GAME ONE RECAP
- In the first game, Indiana Wesleyan secured a decisive victory over GC with a final score of 14–4. The action began in the bottom of the first inning when Greg Vineyard tripled to left center. Trevor Vojtkofsky drove in Vineyard with a double, and Jay Tomes added another run with an RBI single, putting the Wildcats ahead 2–0 after one inning.
- In the second inning, Carson Bush singled up the middle to bring home Landon Ruoff, and Vineyard extended the lead with a two-run homer. Vojtkofsky's triple drove in another run, making it 6–0 through two innings.
- Ben Seitzinger doubled in the third inning, later scoring on a sacrifice fly by Nick Wiley, increasing the lead to 7–0.
- The Maple Leafs responded in the fourth with three runs, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Nathan Pinedo, but Indiana Wesleyan answered with a run of its own when Vineyard scored on a double by Braxton Brosmer, maintaining an 8–3 lead.
- In the fifth, Wiley hit a two-run homer, extending the red and grey's lead to 10–3. GC managed another run in the sixth due to an error, but Indiana Wesleyan responded with a sacrifice fly from Ruoff, bringing the score to 11–4.
- The seventh inning saw IWU add three more runs. Bush and Vineyard set the stage with a single and a double, respectively, setting up Vojtkofsky's RBI double. Mark Snowden's pinch-hit single brought home the final run of the game, securing a 14–4 victory for Indiana Wesleyan.

GAME TWO RECAP
- In the second game, Indiana Wesleyan secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Goshen. In the first inning, Braxton Brosmer walked and advanced to third on a wild pitch and a walk to Trevor Vojtkofsky. Nick Wiley, was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Carson Bush drew a bases-loaded walk, allowing Brosmer to score the game's sole run.
- Noah Wathen dominated on the mound for Indiana Wesleyan, pitching a complete game shutout. He recorded 16 strikeouts, allowing just four hits over seven innings. GC's offense was stifled, failing to score despite a double in the third inning and another in the seventh. The final score remained 1–0 in favor of the red and grey.
