KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) have released the 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for winter sports. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the winter sports who have excelled academically, including basketball, bowling, competitive cheer, competitive dance, swimming & diving and wrestling. The seven Indiana Wesleyan University spring teams combined for 42 athletes to meet the qualifications.
Women's Swim & Dive led the way for the Wildcats with 12 Scholar-Athletes. Women's basketball totaled 9, competitive cheer tallied 8, while men's basketball and men's swim & dive each recorded 5. Men's bowing added 2 and women's bowling rounded out the list with one.
To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
