MONTGOMERY, ALA. - Indiana Wesleyan baseball fell to Faulkner University by a score of 9-4 on Saturday at Harrison Field.
Carson Bush put together a solid outing for IWU, going 3-4 from the plate and hitting a home run in the fifth to pull the WIldcats within one run late in the game.

GAME RECAP
- Indiana Wesleyan started strong with an early lead in the first inning. Greg Vineyard singled, followed by a double from Carson Bush, setting the stage for Trevor Vojtkofsky to walk with the bases loaded, bringing Vineyard home. The inning ended with IWU leading 1-0 after the first.
- In the second inning, Jay Tomes tripled to center field and scored when Vineyard grounded out, extending the Wildcats' lead to 2-0. The Eagles remained scoreless through the first two innings, keeping Indiana Wesleyan ahead 2-0 after the second.
- The game shifted in the fourth inning when the Eagles capitalized on a series of plays, scoring four runs. A double by A. Gonzalez and subsequent scoring on a wild pitch contributed to Faulkner's lead. Indiana Wesleyan trailed 4-2 after the fourth.
- Bush homered in the fifth, narrowing Faulkner's lead to 4-3. However, the Eagles maintained their advantage with a scoreless bottom half, holding a 4-3 lead after five innings.
- In the seventh inning, Faulkner added four more runs, including a two-RBI single by J. Carter, extending their lead to 8-3. IWU managed one more run in the eighth with Matthew Drozlek's RBI double, but the Eagles responded with another run in the bottom of the inning, making it 9-4 after eight innings.
- The final inning saw Indiana Wesleyan unable to close the gap, resulting in a 9-4 victory for the Eagles.
- Cooper Chinn pitched 3.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on two hits while striking out two batters and walking three. Chinn also recorded a balk and a wild pitch in his outing. Charlie Baker faced three batters without recording an out, giving up one earned run on two hits and issuing one walk. Tarick McGlothin pitched 2.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on two hits, striking out three, and walking one. Caleb Olsen contributed 1.2 innings, surrendering two earned runs on four hits and striking out three batters.
