WINONA LAKE, IND. - No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball opened Crossroads League play with a sweep on Wednesday evening, taking down Grace College in straight sets. The Wildcats dominated the box score, hitting over .235 while holding the Lancers to .009 and forced 23 errors by the home team. IWU got better as the night went on, taking control in set three with a 25-14 win after a pair of close sets to open.

MATCH VITALS
- Grace used their home court advantage to take a 7-3 lead in set one, forcing the Wildcats to take a timeout. Another strong run from the home team extended their lead to 14-8. IWU started to chip away at the deficit and took their first lead at 19-18. They finished the set with a 6-1 run, earning a 25-20 victory.
- In the second set, Indiana Wesleyan made the first run. The Wildcats used a 5-0 run on their way to an early 10-6 lead. IWU found themselves up 23-19 after some back and forth play, and a 3-0 run ended the set with a 25-19 win.
- Indiana Wesleyan took their first timeout of the third set trailing 12-10. After the timeout they went on an extended run, scoring 9 of the next 10 points to take a commanding 21-11 lead. Kills from Marissa Mullins, Abbigail Porter, and Jessica Ickes along with a Lancer error finished off the Wildcat sweep.
