RICHMOND, Ind. - No. 11 Women's Soccer traveled over to Indiana University East for an evening match with the Red Wolves. As the Wildcats have done all season so far, they put the pressure on the defense early. Continued pressure led to a goal from sophomore Katelyn VanderArk, her first of the season, in the 16th minute of play. Later in the first half, Sydney Couch continued her scoring ways with a goal in the 36th minute. This marks Couch's third goal of the year which ties her once again with freshman Carlie Grosser for the most on the team. Indiana University East would score in the 40th minute to cut the lead down to 2-1 before the end of the first period. The second half was dominated by defense, especially from IWU. The Wildcat defense only allowed 2 shots in each period and did not allow a corner kick from the Red Wolves all match. The final goal of the match came in the 68th minute by freshman Tylar Whitaker to extend the lead to 3-1. Indiana Wesleyan has now won four straight games to start the year and have won two in a row by a score of 3-1.
