MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Women's Soccer junior
Avery Sluss was named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is her first Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week award this season and the third of her career.
Sluss helped No. 11 IWU past Lourdes and No. 7 Aquinas with 180 minutes of near flawless work in the net for the Wildcats. The junior goalie highlighted her week with a four-save shutout in a 1-0 win against Aquinas.
The Wildcats host No. 12 Spring Arbor on September 24th starting at 7:00 PM.
