. 23 Women's Tennis won a 4-3 thriller just before midnight defeating Missouri Baptist. In Doubles, no. 1 and no. 2 had split and it came down to a tiebreaker for the doubles point. The team of Oliveria and Dick won the tiebreaker 7-5 to clinch the double point. In Singles, the tight match continued. IWU no. 1
Sofia Munoz battled through injury but ended up losing 10-6 in a third set super tiebreaker. With the score 1-1, Senior
France Antezana came back from a ones set deficit to win a crucial super tiebreaker 10-5. The Wildcats lost at no. 3 and no. 5 singles to go down 3-2. With no. 5 and no. 6 singles going on at 10 PM, Indiana Wesleyan needed to win both matches to clinch the match. Both Maria Oliveria (5) and
Lauren Dick (6) came out on fire against Missouri Baptist and quickly dominated the first sets. In the second sets, both matches saw opponents take an early lead but the women responded with back to back breaks of serves. Just before midnight, the Wildcats won both matches within a minute of each other to seal the victory.

"Tonight, France picked up a win that was desperately needed and showed her senior leadership. Maria and Lauren, both first year kids in the program, played with great poise and sealed the victory in doubles and then singles. Great job by the women!"
